Here I am at 30

Okay, well I’m not quite 30, but 2013 will be the year that I celebrate my “Dirty Thirty”. I’ve already resigned myself to the fact that I’m no longer a carefree young adult and that I need to start thinking about things like retirement, life insurance and kids. Yay!(sarcastic) What happened to the time? I guess I’m still trying to figure out how I ended up here. If you asked me at 20 where I would be by the time I turned 30, I’m sure my answer wouldn’t have involved marketing, manila or marriage – yet here I am.

Today, I woke up at 5 am and decided it was time to re-launch my personal blog. No more blogging about marketing or food. Just a plain ol’ blog about what I know best – me. I’m not sure what I want to write about, but that’s the beauty of a personal blog. It’s just for you and a few close friends. It can be about whatever you want and can change without reason or explanation. Today’s flavor is nostalgia. My mind is full of memories from my twenties: living paycheck-to-paycheck, late night parties and making stupid decisions. Those were the good ol’ times. Not because I had more stability or more money, but because I was surrounded by friends and family. Oh, how I miss my childhood buddies. Oh, how I miss my sister and mother. Were it not for my  lovely wife, I would gladly trade my life for my previous one. At almost 30 years old, my wife is my best friend, my pride and joy and my saving grace.
